The Obama family is devastated by the death of their personal chef, Tafari Campbell, who drowned while paddleboarding near their vacation home. Campbell, a former White House chef, disappeared while paddleboarding on a Martha’s Vineyard lake. Massachusetts State Police reported he struggled to stay afloat and then submerged. After an overnight search, his body was found. The Obamas expressed their grief, calling Campbell “a beloved part of our family.”
