Shannen Sad Breaking news

Shannen Doherty, the actress, has been open about her cancer diagnosis and treatment, but she has now revealed some tragic news. “January 5th, my ct scan showed Mets in my brain,” she announced on Instagram.

Her brain cancer is now being treated with radiation therapy. She had her first radiation treatment on January 12th. “My fear is obvious,” she admitted. “My life was quite hectic because I suffer from severe claustrophobia.”

Despite her ordeal, Doherty expressed her gratitude to her doctors in a letter, writing, “I am fortunate as I have fantastic doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing technologists at Cedar Sinai.”

“But this is what cancer may look like—that worry, that turbulence, that timing.” Along with the message, she included a video of herself receiving radiation, in which she made no attempt to hide her terror.

Doherty was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Her diagnosis was due to metastatic breast cancer. After receiving radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and a single mastectomy, Doherty was declared cancer-free in 2017.

Back in 2017, Doherty and Chelsea Handler discussed her battle with breast cancer. Listen to what she had to say in the video below.

Doherty’s cancer returned in 2019, but she kept the news to herself. Doherty revealed to the world in 2020 that her breast cancer had progressed to stage 4. Doherty’s health has deteriorated substantially as a result of the news that her cancer has spread to her brain, and she is no longer receiving support from her husband.

Doherty announced her divorce from Kurt Iswarienko, her husband of 11 years, in April 2023, three months after being diagnosed with brain and beginning treatment. He appeared to be “intimately involved” with his publicist.

After learning of her cancer diagnosis, many of her well-known friends commented on her Instagram post. Kevin Smith wrote, “I’m rooting for you, my irreplaceable friend.” “You’ve always been a fearless fighter, so it’s understandable that you get scared now and then.” Allow that unshakeable Doherty spirit to reign once more after those times have passed.”

“This is a lot,” Selma Blair wrote. “Once again, there’s a lot to deal with here. And I hope that all the knowledge of intellectual peace will come to you in your moments of fear. to know you’re in good hands. “I love you, love you, love you.”
