A Family Breathes New Life into a Century-Old House

This remarkable home journeyed through over a century, having been built all the way back in 1887. For many years, it lay abandoned, teetering on the edge of collapse and viewed by many as far too risky to even step foot inside. Yet, the story took a beautiful turn thanks to the determination and vision of a dedicated family. Jim and Jean Leaman, a retired couple well-acquainted with the home’s stout yet deteriorating old-world charm, decided they couldn’t stand by any longer. Despite the house’s deteriorating state, they saw past the peeling paint and crumbling wood. The allure of its historical architecture was too enticing, prompting them to take a leap of faith and purchase the property.
