Viewers ‘Won’t Be Watching’ the Grammys Because of This Singer

Online backlash has been triggered by the Recording Academy’s announcement that a well-known singer will present at the 67th Grammy Awards. Some fans are pledging to boycott the event, while others are thrilled.

On February 2, 2025, the 67th Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. However, viewers have expressed their frustration after the Recording Academy confirmed Taylor Swift’s involvement in recent social media posts.

The singer will present during the show, the Recording Academy announced on January 30, 2025. Social media users responded negatively almost instantly, with many saying they were sick of seeing her.

“I’m not going to watch another show,” a Facebook user wrote. She watches football more than I can handle. Similar criticism was posted on X, where one user wrote, “I am outraged,” and another said, “Taylor Swift needs to be stopped.”

Some users were shocked and frustrated, saying things like, “Oh god who did this 😞,” and “We don’t want to see her.””Unfortunately,” one said bluntly, while another added, “I’m shocked.”

The singer’s fan base continues to support her strongly in spite of the criticism. As one Instagram fan wrote, “I’m sooooo excited 😭,” another added, “WE ARE SO READYYYY FOR IT 😍😍😍.” Other users expressed their excitement for her appearance.

There will be a full day of music celebrations at the 67th Grammy Awards. Many early winners will be revealed at the Premiere Ceremony, which kicks off the event at 3:30 PM ET/12:30 PM PT. Live streaming of this segment will be available on YouTube and LIVE.GRAMMY.COM.

The arrivals of nominees and notable figures in the industry will then be covered on Grammy Live From The Red Carpet, which airs at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT. YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and LIVE.GRAMMY.COM will all carry the coverage.

The main event will stream on Paramount+ and air on CBS from 8 to 11:30 PM ET/5 to 8:30 PM PT. Additionally, the Recording Academy announced that first responders and those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles will be honored at this year’s ceremony.
