Julianne Moore slams Donald Trump after her children’s book is banned

Julianne Moore spoke out about the shock of her children’s book, Freckleface Strawberry,

being banned in Department of Defense schools under the Trump administration.

Based on her childhood nickname, the 2007 book promotes self-acceptance,

Despite its positive message, Moore shared on Instagram that it’s prohibited in

some schools. As a graduate of a Department of Defense school and the daughter

of a veteran, she expressed disappointment.She questioned why a book about

self-acceptance is controversial and thanked PEN America for raising awareness.
