Trump’s Record-Breaking Speech: A Bold Statement on War, Tariffs, and American Leadership

On March 4, 2025, former President Donald Trump delivered a record-breaking 100-minute speech before Congress, the longest in modern history.

He addressed ending foreign wars, defending new tariffs, and contrasting his six-week performance with Biden’s administration. A CBS News poll showed 76% approval, including 49% from independents and Democrats.

A Harvard poll found 57% supported his tariff policies, with 58% preferring his leadership over Biden’s. While his bold rhetoric remains divisive, public optimism about his presidency is strong.
