Phil Collins reveals he can “barely hold a drumstick anymore”

Phil Collins, a Grammy-winning musician with eight awards, is one of the most successful artists, selling over 100 million albums both solo and with Genesis. Born on January 30, 1951, in London, Collins developed a passion for music early on. At five, his uncle made him a drum kit, sparking his love for the instrument. In the early ’60s, he joined various bands, and by 1970, Collins became the drummer for Genesis. After the band’s lead singer left, Collins took over as both drummer and vocalist. His solo career flourished with hits like In the Air Tonight and You Can’t Hurry Love. Though Collins left Genesis in 1996 to focus on his solo projects, he reunited with the band in 2017. However, due to health issues, his son, Nicholas, now drums for him during tours.
