Al Roker’s wife, Deborah Roker, describes her husband’s health crisis as “exhausting and worrisome.”

Deborah Roberts, who has been married to Al Roker for 27 years, recently talked to Entertainment Tonight about how hard it was for her to help him through his life-threatening health crisis.

She took on the caregiver job during his hospitalization and rehabilitation following a seven-hour surgery.

Deborah said to ET that she had never gone through anything like it before and hoped she would never have to go through it again.

She stated that many people underestimate how difficult and demanding it can be.

Robin Roberts, a well-known senior national affairs reporter for ABC News and a contributor to 20/20, recently talked about a terrible thing that happened with her close friend Al Roker’s health.

At 62, Roberts revealed her emotional and mental exhaustion due to the circumstances. At the same time, she admitted to feeling exhausted, and she was happy that everyone was safe in the end.

Roberts attributed her faith, spirituality, and family, coworkers, and friends to giving her the necessary support system throughout this challenging time.

Roberts was happy she had many friends to help her through it all, joking that Roker was doing fine because he was “back to driving her crazy.”

Al Roker was hospitalized twice in early November at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center due to blood clots moving from his leg to his lungs.

The disease and a previous prostate cancer diagnosis in 2020 jeopardized Al’s life and horrified his family.

His wife, Robin Roberts, revealed that she had prepared for the possibility of losing her husband and having to deliver the news to their three daughters, Leila, 24, Nicholas, 20, and Courtney (Al’s previous wife’s daughter), 35.

Al Roker was overwhelmed with appreciation for the help he had received. He was well aware that, with it, he had progressed as far as he had.

Roker expressed his gratitude by saying he felt tremendously blessed to be alive.
