A man shared his story on Reddit. He stated that he moved to a different city, on a different state, with his pregnant girlfriend. And after he found out that she was a cheater, he kicked her out, and left her alone in the strange city, where they do not know anyone.
The Redditor, NicBabyThro, had stated that they were both in their 30s, and moved to a different city, across the country, after he was offered a job which was paying incredibly good. His girlfriend was 7 months old pregnant, and for the child that he thought he was the father, he accepted the offer and they moved to a different city.
As he shared that they were protecting, he accepted that he is the father. But OP stated that his girlfriend was distant, and wasn’t speaking to him much as she used to. OP thought that it was the pregnancy hormones, but he couldn’t resist, and asked that what was wrong. She yelled, after he asked several times, and left the table. That day he wanted to leave early for the day, because his girlfriend wanted to talk with him, and wanted him not to be exhausted from work.
As he got home, his girlfriend stated that, she met with another man, and slept with him for several days. OP shared, “This carried on for a week or two supposedly because I was always working and not spending enough time with her. I worked 14 hour days during that time and just wanted to come home and sit.”
When he learned that he was not the father, OP stated his anger. He went to one of his co-worker’s house to calm down. After he returned, he wanted a paternal test, as his girlfriend was against it. He learned that he was not the father.
Then he kicked her out of the house, as OP shared, “I wanted her out before I got back from work/picking my stuff up from my friends. She was hysterical and saying how I couldn’t just leave her alone and homeless while she was so close to the due date, and so far away from home and that she really loved me and, wanted me to raise this child with her because it’s the only way it’ll have a decent life.”
OP explained that they ever readied everything for the baby. The nursery, the room, everything. He was ready to be a father, but his world collapsed on his body, crushed him. OP shared that he went to talk with his boss, to take a short break, and explained that he cried in his room for hours, as his boss listened to him.
The Redditors tried to comfort the troubled man, as they stated that he was right in his actions, since he was played on, and he has a right not to raise a child which he was not the father.
