On Friday, the 73-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared a photo on Instagram of her speaking during Esther’s funeral. Esther died on April 20 at age 96.<\/p>\n
\u201cI spoke at my moms memorial service yesterday. It was one of the hardest things I\u2019ve had to do,\u201d Caitlyn captioned the post. \u201cI miss her terribly every day. She is loved and missed and in a better place.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the comment section, Jenner\u2019s son Brandon Jenner remembered his grandmother as \u201can amazing woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo glad I got to say a last goodbye over the phone,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI\u2019ll remember many moments, but, one of my favorites will always be when she told me, among the billowing smoke in her condo, \u2018it\u2019s not the cigarettes that will kill you, it\u2019s the filters that will kill you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
