<\/p>\nAfter the heartbreak of previous relationships, Valerie Bertinelli has confirmed she\u2019s got herself a new boyfriend, taking to Instagram with a sweet post all but making it clear she\u2019s now off the market.<\/p>\n
The 63-year-old, two years removed from her divorce from ex-husband Tom Vitale, and four years following the death of her first husband, Eddie Van Halen, made things Instagram official last Friday, captioning a selfie with lyrics from So High School, a Taylor Swift song reportedly about the music star\u2019s current boyfriend Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n
\u201c I\u2019ll drink what you think and I\u2019m high from smokin\u2019 your jokes all damn night\u201d Bertinelli wrote in the post\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n
As per Entertainment Tonight, Valerie\u2019s new man is writer Mike Goodnough, who pens a popular blog under the monicker the Hoarse Whisperer.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, TV personality and actress Bertinelli set the rumor mill spinning when she told USA TODAY: \u201cI\u2019ve met someone. And I\u2019m incredibly grateful for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unlike any relationship that I\u2019ve ever experienced with a man. I don\u2019t want to say too much, but I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have met him. I was going to die with my six cats and my dog and be incredibly happy doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Goodnough admitted the rumors about him dating Bertinelli were true on his Substack this week, in an essay entitled \u201cRumors, Rumors, Rumors\u2026\u201d. In the piece, he jokingly detailed that he had asked \u201cMs. Bertinelli\u201d in a \u201creporterly voice\u201d if there was \u201cany truth to the rumor you are dating me? Care to comment?\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cShe said \u2018It\u2019s true. I totally am. You\u2019re my boyfriend.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
In her recently published new cookbook, Indulge, Bertinelli discussed her previous marriage to Eddie Van Halen.<\/p>\n
\u201cThough we got divorced, Ed and I never stopped loving each other,\u201d she penned in the cookbook, which was released April 12.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho knows, if not for cancer, we might have had a second wind,\u201d Bertinelli wrote, adding that \u201cI\u2019m pretty sure that is wistful thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Goodnough, Valerie explained that she began following him on social media in 2016 or 2017, before he followed her back in 2018. The two eventually began to exchange messages with one another, presumably following Valerie\u2019s divorce from Tom Vitale in 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a really super funny, incredibly talented writer,\u201d she said of Goodnough.<\/p>\n
