<\/p>\nJane Fonda\u2018s been a fixture of the celebrity scene for a long, long time. At 85, it\u2019s safe to say she\u2019s in the twilight of her career, even if she continues to work.<\/p>\n
Yet while her advanced age and numerous health scares have left certain fans worried, the actress herself opened up about her feelings regarding death recently, insisting she is \u201cnot scared\u201d.<\/p>\n
Fonda has lived almost her entire life in the spotlight, and is now aiming to use her remaining time on Earth to impress upon the fact that it\u2019s vital for celebrities to use their voices to stand up for important causes.<\/p>\n
During an interview a few months back, the Grace and Frankie star said that she\u2019s \u201cnot afraid of death\u201d but knows she\u2019ll be gone \u201csooner rather than later\u201d.<\/p>\n
In September of last year, Fonda announced that she had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Speaking candidly with Entertainment Tonight, she said: \u201cI\u2019m not going to be around for much longer.\u201d<\/p>\n
She continued: \u201cWhen you get to be my age, you better be aware of the amount of time that is behind you, as opposed to in front of you. I mean, that\u2019s just realistic.\u201d<\/p>\n
After announcing her cancer diagnosis, Fonda revealed that was would be undergoing chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share,\u201d she wrote on Instagram at the time. \u201cI\u2019ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin\u2019s Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m also lucky because I have health insurance and access to the best doctors and treatments. I realise, and it\u2019s painful, that I am privileged in this. Almost every family in America has had to deal with cancer at one time or another and far too many don\u2019t have access to the quality health care I am receiving and this is not right.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m ready,\u201d she told ET! \u201cI\u2019ve had a great life.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot that I want to go, but I\u2019m aware that it\u2019s going to be sooner rather than later.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fortunately, Fonda responded well to her chemotherapy. In a December post on her website, the actress wrote: \u201cLast week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo. I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate.\u201c<\/p>\n

Blessed she may be, but the 85-year-old has also insisted that she has no fear of death.<\/p>\n
The Academy Award-winner said she feels death is an adventure, and so she\u2019s \u201cnot scared of dying\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI kind of, you know\u2026 I don\u2019t want to go \u2013 I still have a lot to do,\u201d Fonda said during an appearance on Who\u2019s Talking to Chris Wallace.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I\u2019m really scared of is getting to the end of life with a lot of regrets when there\u2019s no time to do anything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fonda said she has \u201cvery few regrets\u201d, but said she \u201cwishes\u201d she could have been a different \u201ckind of mother\u201d to her children when they were younger.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have great, great children, talented, smart \u2013 and I I just didn\u2019t know how to do it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
