A country and gospel band called The Oak Ridge Boys had Joe as a member from 1973 to 2024.<\/p>\n
There was a picture of Blake, 48, singing on stage with The Oak Ridge Boys that he shared on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The exact date and place where the picture was taken are unknown.<\/p>\n

He wrote on his Instagram Stories, \u201cI\u2019m heartbroken to hear of my friend Joe Bonsall\u2019s death.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve NEVER seen Joe when he wasn\u2019t smiling and completely full of life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Blake added, \u201cHe loved singing more than anyone I\u2019ve ever met.\u201d<\/p>\n
I\u2019m praying for his family and his brothers at @theoakridgeboys. Today we all lost someone important.<\/p>\n
Blake put out the 2016 song \u201cDoing It to Country Songs\u201d with The Oak Ridge Boys.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoseph is also the author of 11 books, including his upcoming memoir, I See Myself, which comes out in November,\u201d a Bonsall family spokesperson said in a press release.<\/p>\n

During the announcement of his diagnosis, Joe said he was leaving the band.<\/p>\n

\u201cElvira,\u201d \u201cCome On In,\u201d \u201cLeaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight,\u201d and \u201cBobbie Sue\u201d are some of the band\u2019s best-known songs.<\/p>\n
After winning five Grammys, The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015.<\/p>\n

No one in the band who is still playing is one of the original members.
