White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre recently appeared on a daytime talk show where she described how difficult her job is being a spokeswoman for the Biden administration. However, KJP was subsequently criticized by conservatives online for this assertion.<\/p>\n
Jean-Pierre noted that, in light of the challenging nature of speaking to the press on behalf of the White House, sometimes it is necessary to \u201chave a little bit of fun.\u201d She added that it is essential to \u201cloosen up\u201d before stepping up to the podium to field questions about the president.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe job is hard. The job is hard. It\u2019s hard, not just for me, but for all of my colleagues. It\u2019s it\u2019s a difficult job, what we\u2019re trying to do on behalf of the American people for this President. And so it is not easy. And so sometimes we try to like have a little bit of fun. And so right before I walk out, we try to loosen up a little bit because what I\u2019m about to experience at the podium is\u2026It\u2019s, it\u2019s, it\u2019s gonna be a journey, like it\u2019s gonna be a journey,\u201d KJP told the host.<\/p>\n
Conservatives on social media were critical of KJP\u2019s comments about the difficulty of her job. \u201cI\u2019m sure it is stressful when you have to lie all day covering for the dementia patient in charge!\u201d one person commented, speculating on Biden\u2019s mental health.<\/p>\n
Another said, \u201cI honestly don\u2019t see how hard it is for her. She either gives an answer from her binder, or more often than not she gives one of four \u201c non answer \u201c responses.\u201c I don\u2019t have anything for you on that today.\u201d One person wrote, \u201cHer job would be really easy if she was genuine, stopped giving non\/evasive answers and didn\u2019t lie every time she talks.\u201d
\nAs indicated by some responses to her comments about how tough her job is, answering for some of Joe Biden\u2019s dubious comments and policies in a way that glorifies the president would be a challenge. For example, KJP was asked about Biden\u2019s recent remarks about his \u201cUncle Bosie,\u201d who served in World War II. The president made comments that suggested his relative could have been eaten by cannibals in Papa New Guinea.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President highlighted his uncle\u2019s story as he made the case for honoring our sacred commitment to, to equip those we send to war and to take care of them and their families when they come home. And as he reiterated that the lasting American veterans are suckers or losers, and he wanted to make that clear. He wanted to make the story. I mean, look, I don\u2019t have anything beyond me about what I just laid out. But it was a really proud moment for him. It was incredibly emotional. I think some of your colleagues is, as you know, Zeke, were there and they got to witness the president pray at the at the woman war memorial. Look for his uncle\u2019s name, honor him,\u201d she said in defense of Biden\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n
KJP concluded, \u201cAnd I think we can\u2019t we can\u2019t forget that moment. And we cannot also forget what it means to be a commander in chief what it means to lift up our service members what it means to make sure that we respect their service and he made that contract very clear as to what we saw from the former president.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
