Over 64% of her body was severely burnt.<\/p>\n
She might not live, according to the doctors.<\/p>\n

Michael Hoskin, Turia\u2019s lover, left his position as a police officer to care for her after the accident. He has always supported her and remained by her side. Michael was aware that he was ineffective.<\/p>\n
Turia has undergone 200 procedures since the catastrophe. She suffered the loss of seven fingers and required more than two years to recover.When she was trapped by fire during a 100-kilometer race in a remote part of Western Australia in 2020, she was interviewed and revealed the terrible incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember seeing bits of my skin stuck to the rocks and spinifex,\u201d Pitt said and explained that she felt a \u201cbubbling feeling of panic.\u201d<\/p>\n
Michael bought Turia a diamond ring while she was in intensive care four years prior and used it to pop the question to her in 2015. When they were on vacation in the Maldives, according to Michael, he proposed to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Turia was in intensive care four years ago I bought a diamond ring,\u201d Michael explains.<\/p>\n
For the first two years of her recovery, Turia had to cover her face with a mask. She started to get better gradually but steadily. Every day, Michael tells his wife, \u201cYou\u2019re beautiful.\u201d In 2016, the couple exchanged vows.<\/p>\n
Turia expresses her gratitude to Michael for all of his assistance over the course of the past seven trying years, the majority of which she has spent in the hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing to sleep next to my partner I never thought anything of before. Now I think how lucky am I get to sleep next to this beautiful man. He\u2019s a good guy and I\u2019m very lucky to have him,\u201d Turia Pitt tells the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n
