He himself has conceded that the wedding scene may be more plausible than was originally believed. \u201cThis is pretty authentic and I think very beautiful, because we actually did the ceremony and had the priest do the ceremony,\u201d Coppola said. \u201cSo in a sense, when we were all done, we realized that Keanu and Winona really are married as a result of this scene and this ceremony.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Ryder, their vows have convinced God that they are married. Even if it was just for a movie set. \u201cSo I think we\u2019re married,\u201d she said. \u201cNo, I swear to God, I think we\u2019re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we\u2019re married.\u201d<\/p>\n
