Wilmar, an Amazon driver working in the area, noticed her and quickly realized that she needed help.<\/p>\n

Wilmar didn\u2019t hesitate for a second. He called Gigi\u2019s granddaughter, Karen, who was away picking her mom up from the doctor.<\/p>\n

Through her doorbell camera, Karen could see Wilmar assisting her grandmother out of the vehicle, holding her hand gently and reassuringly as they walked to the front door.<\/p>\n
It was a sight that brought tears to Karen\u2019s eyes.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Ring, Wilmar humbly shared:<\/p>\n
\u201cI was delivering and I saw this older lady was walking by. She waved at me, which isn\u2019t an odd occurrence, people wave at you all the time as an Amazon driver. But she was waving at me like something happened. I noticed how she had this wristband on. And it had her name and her information, as well as who to contact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Karen, overwhelmed with gratitude, expressed her deep appreciation, saying: \u201cI felt that Wilmar went above and beyond. We have that type of a great close-knit community here, that if there\u2019s something that a driver\u2019s going to spot, that\u2019s out of line, he\u2019s going to say, \u2018I\u2019m going to make sure that my customers are taken care of, because this doesn\u2019t look right.\u201d<\/p>\n
The story touched not only Gigi\u2019s family but also the wider community.<\/p>\n
