Elvis Summers, a resident of the complex, remarked, \u201cShe\u2019s a human being, a 60-year-old mother and grandmother sleeping in the dirt, it\u2019s just not right.\u201d Moved by her situation, Elvis built Irene a home using $500 worth of wood he bought, donations from a local business, and his construction expertise. \u201cI just wanted to build something safe enough\u2026 so she\u2019d be warm and comfortable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
