I have to be a really good communicator. I have to be a leader. I have to be able to be flexible with whatever\u2019s going on and work through different situations,\u201d she told KNXV.<\/p>\n<p>Helping women feel powerful and confident is all part of her platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I\u2019m in my police uniform, I\u2019m empowered to help people,\u201d Officer Kanavel said. \u201cAnd when I\u2019m in my sash and crown, I\u2019m empowered to help people.
