When producers at \u201cThe View\u201d invited Riley Gaines on to set the record straight, they probably figured Whoopi Goldberg would have a field day with her.<\/p>\n
They were wrong. Ms. Gaines joined the show remotely to tell the audience what it felt like to lose to a biological male twice her size.<\/p>\n
Before she could get three words out, Whoopi shouted, \u201cJust admit you\u2019re a bigot who wants to get rich riding Lia Thomas\u2019 coattails.\u201d Gaines, who looks a bit timid and unassuming, turned immediately into the fierce competitor we all know and love and laid into Whoopi.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t actually care about women,\u201d she said sternly, \u201cyou have no idea what it\u2019s like to go through something like this.\u201d Goldberg was speechless.<\/p>\n
After a moment with her mouth wide open, Whoopi finally mustered an apology. \u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Then she said, \u201cI\u2019m sorry\u2026what> Did you just inform a black woman from New York how difficult it is to be you, child? Sweetheart you tied for 5th. You want to be the next Tomi Lahren. Your eyes are way too close together, hun.\u201d<\/p>\n
