In a statement shared by Somers\u2019 camp, it reads, \u201cSuzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSuzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.\u201d<\/p>\n
Devastatingly, Somers had just opened up about her plans to celebrate her 77th birthday with her family following the return of the breast cancer. Now, Somers\u2019 family will \u201ccelebrate her extraordinary life\u201d during a private memorial.\u201d The statement adds that her family \u201cwant(s) to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.\u201d<\/p>\n
A public memorial for Somers will take place next month.<\/p>\n
A friend of Somers further told Page Six that Somers \u201cdied in her new \u2018all green home\u2019 in Palm Springs, in her sleep with her loving husband by her side.\u201d<\/p>\n
