But the actress got to celebrate a little earlier when her childhood celebrity crush, Donny Osmond, decied to surprise her.<\/p>\n<p>Garner shared the moment on Instagram where she was sitting in a restaurant watching a personalized video message on her phone from the 64-year-old Osmond.<\/p>\n<p>She didn\u2019t know that Osmond was coming up behind her.<br \/>\nGarner was emotional watching the video greeting but her day was about to get better when she heard, \u201cJennifer! It\u2019s your birthday!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garner immediately stood up and hugged Osmond, holding back tears as the singer held a birthday cake that read\u201c13 Going On 50! Love Donny!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy first (pre)birthday surprise was a doozy\u2014 the one and only, legend in his own time, object of my childhood adoration and devotion\u2014 @donnyosmond showed up to knock my purple socks off,\u201d the \u201cAlias\u201d actress wrote in the video\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n<p><iframe id=\"instagram-embed-3\" class=\"instagram-media instagram-media-rendered\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CZxNH0WPlxq\/embed\/?cr=1&amp;v=14&amp;wp=540&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fspotlightstories.co&amp;rp=%2Fdonny-osmonds-birthday-surprise-jennifer-garner%2F%3Futm_source%3Dpage%26utm_medium%3Dfacebook%26utm_campaign%3Da5f8afc4-65f4-48a0-84b0-8a2de9942001%26utm_content%3Dpeople%26fbclid%3DIwAR0R6HQAo_XJgB3b9lFgKnD_sbbRO7Ee5azB#%7B%22ci%22%3A3%2C%22os%22%3A1784.1999998092651%2C%22ls%22%3A220.60000038146973%2C%22le%22%3A336.9000005722046%7D\" height=\"752\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-instgrm-payload-id=\"instagram-media-payload-3\" data-gtm-yt-inspected-6=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Osmond, smiling as he serenaded the beaming actress, joined her in an impromptu duet of some of his hits, including \u201cMake the World Go Away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garner sat next to the singer, smiling and enjoying every moment of her 50th.<br \/>\n\u201cHe took an hour and a half of his day to sit with me, sing my favorites, and to give me a master class on how to be a class act,\u201d Garner wrote. \u201cThank you, Donny.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Osmond\u2019s former onstage partner and sister, Marie, and his wife, Debbie, also received a shout out from Garner.<br \/>\nOsmond shared Garner\u2019s video on his own Instagram page with a message of his own, which included an invitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSurprising fans is one of my favorite things to do, so when I had the opportunity to surprise the lovely @jennifer.garner for her 50th birthday, I was overjoyed,\u201d the singer wrote. \u201cThanks for letting me celebrate with you! Next time you\u2019re in Vegas, come see me at @harrahsvegas so you can be my special guest on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Greetings and well wishes poured in.<br \/>\n\u201cI seriously think this is the best surprise that could ever be! The joy!!!\u201d Rita Wilson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is unreal,\u201d wrote Gwyneth Paltrow.<\/p>\n<p>Garner\u2019s Instagram is full of positive vibes. She has pretend cooking shows, and even suggestions of how people can give back to the community.<\/p>\n<p>Garner is proof that even celebrities are not immune to celebrity crushes and fan girl moments.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cDonny &amp; Marie\u201d show was super popular in America during the late 1970s. Osmond was a famous a teen heartthrob with thousands of adoring female fans all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>And that included Garner.<\/p>\n<p>When she wanted to become an actress, she had to get a job to get by.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s just an awesome way of celebrating your 50th!
