<\/p>\nIt\u2019s not always fun if a neighbor stops by unannounced \u2013 but imagine that times 200!<\/p>\n
One family was enjoying a quiet evening at home when suddenly, a flock of 200 \u201cintruders\u201d decided to crash their backyard party.<\/p>\n
The Russos live in Lincoln, California.
\nIn this city, sheep are often used to clear overgrowth that could lead to wildfires.<\/p>\n

But for the Russos, these woolly neighbors decided to pop in and say \u201chello,\u201d despite not exactly being invited.<\/p>\n
The adventure began innocently enough.
\nThe Russo family opened their gate to give their daughters a closer look at the grazing sheep.<\/p>\n
Erin Russo told Bored Panda, \u201cOnce a year they graze for two or three days to clear the overgrowth.\u201d<\/p>\n
She had never heard of them wandering into anyone\u2019s yard before.<\/p>\n
But, as they soon discovered, these sheep had a mind of their own!
\n\u201cThe curious sheep were peeking their heads in our back gate for a while but would scamper off as soon as they saw us. Then one came in, which became a dozen in the blink of an eye, and then hundreds,\u201d Erin recalled.<\/p>\n
Before they knew it, their yard was flooded with these uninvited guests.<\/p>\n
Dad Scott Russo, ever the entertainer, captured the entire sheep invasion on camera.
\nHe tried everything to get them to leave \u2013 from shouting at them to making sheep noises himself.<\/p>\n
But these sheep weren\u2019t easily persuaded.<\/p>\n
Scott\u2019s hilarious narration added a comedic touch to the situation, even though Erin wasn\u2019t quite as amused.<\/p>\n
Scott seemed to be pretty \u201centertained\u201d by what was going on, but Erin was a bit \u201cnervous.\u201d
\nWhile Scott was busy playing shepherd, Erin quickly ushered their daughters to safety inside the house.<\/p>\n
The girls, aged 4 and 5, found the whole situation hilarious, exclaiming, \u201cDaddy let the leader in!\u201d<\/p>\n
In a creative attempt to drive the sheep away, Erin jumped on the trampoline and waved a tambourine.
\nShe thought the loud noise might do the trick. And she was right!<\/p>\n
With Scott leading the way and Erin making noise, the sheep finally began to leave.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt all happened so fast,\u201d Scott shared with Bored Panda.
\n\u201cIt went from funny to freakout real quick, but looking back I was pretty calm about it all.\u201d<\/p>\n
There was a moment of panic when it looked like the departing sheep might damage the fence, but they managed to exit without causing any harm.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the herd of sheep wasn\u2019t there for more than a few minutes.
\nTurns out, they don\u2019t like the sound of a shaking tambourine, which is something the family should probably keep in mind.<\/p>\n
Or just remember to keep the gate closed!<\/p>\n
Although they didn\u2019t intend for all the sheep to storm their yard, it did lead to some hilarious and memorable footage.<\/p>\n
