<\/p>\nSince social media made its appearance in our lives, people have been divided into those who adore it and those who dislike it.<\/p>\n
The latter, tend to blame social media for the fact that people now spend less time actually communicating with each other, they believe that it has estranged us, and that it generally doesn\u2019t have any positive impact on our lives.<\/p>\n

However, there are times when even those who despise social media recognize that it can prove helpful.<\/p>\n
Like in the case of the brothers who found their older twin sisters through Facebook.<\/p>\n
You see, Matt Shaw and Ed Clark had only recently met after finding out they were brothers who had been adopted by different families after birth.<\/p>\n
Ed, who lives in Lawrence County, had been contacted by Matt, who lives in South Carolina, after the man had taken a DNA test. Thanks to the Ancestry DNA website, Matt was able to find his lost brother and message him.<\/p>\n
Soon, the two men met and they couldn\u2019t believe how lucky they were to have found each other after all the years that they spent apart.<\/p>\n
At that point, they learned that they possibly had a set of older twin sisters, who had also been adopted. So, they started thinking about how they could find their sisters, too.
\n\u201cI had seen other people doing something similar to it and we brought it up and said maybe we should do this Facebook thing,\u201d Matt told KDKA, \u201cand when I met Ed for the first time, we said, well, let\u2019s do it, we\u2019re here. So we wrote the sign. Never in a million years would I have dreamed that it would have done what it did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indeed, the men wrote a sign about having two sisters who had been adopted in Ellwood City, Pa. They knew the year of birth (1968) and their birth mother\u2019s name (Sally).<\/p>\n
So, they posted their sign on their social media and waited to see how it would turn out.
\nThey were shocked by the number of people who shared their story. Thousands of Facebook users shared their plea and, eventually, their twin sisters, Donna and Dana, were found.<\/p>\n
The women were equally surprised to find out that they had more siblings. This was really something they had never imagined would happen.
\n\u201cWe were just shocked. Because we had no clue. I mean, you have no clue. And then to find out not only do you have one [sibling], you got three more,\u201d Dana said.<\/p>\n
About a month after they found each other online, the siblings met, along with their families and the twins\u2019 adoptive parents, and they just couldn\u2019t hide their excitement.<\/p>\n
They were all happy to see each other for the first time, and they all agreed on creating new family traditions and trying to make up for the years they lost.<\/p>\n
What an amazing story of a family reunion!<\/p>\n
