It was like a movie scene because Pauletta arrived late, snuck inside, and sat down.<\/p>\n<p>As it was dark, she didn\u2019t know the people around her. As he saw the meter going up, Denzel became nervous.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow far does she lives? Yeah, she paid,\u201d he finally admitted.<\/p>\n<p>In another interview with Access Hollywood last 2013, the couple recalled when Denzel proposed to Pauletta.<\/p>\n<p>Denzel recalled he proposed once, but Pauletta corrected him, saying she turned him down twice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy was it twice? Why would I have to ask again?\u201d Denzel was bewildered!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I said no!\u201d Pauletta replied, laughing.<\/p>\n<p>The adorable couple laughed about it, but they tied the knot on June 25, 1983.<\/p>\n<p>Time flies when you\u2019re in love, and they were.<\/p>\n<p>In 1995, Pauletta and Denzel celebrated and renewed their vows in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>They have four beautiful kids together, and their marriage is as strong as ever.<\/p>\n<p>Fans worldwide began asking, what\u2019s the secret behind all those beautiful years?<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with People, Denzel jokingly said, \u201cI do what I\u2019m told. I keep my mouth shut!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They all laughed, but after that, Denzel looked at Pauletta and said, \u201cWhat pops into my head: security, food, a beautiful home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He gave most of the credit to Pauletta, who made their house a home.<br \/>\nAccording to the actor, you can buy a house, but that doesn\u2019t make it a home. His wife, Pauletta, made their house a home full of love, and she raised their kids.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, their love story is something to admire.
