The married couple of 55 years, Albert and Vivienne Harrison were living in Indianapolis, when Albert passed away at the age of 86. As Vivienne was mournful over the passing of her husband, she had her big family who were supporting her.<\/p>\n
They had three children, and from their children, six grandchildren. Several months ago Albert passed away, the couple also welcomed their first great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Few months after Albert\u2019s passing, when Vivienne was coming back to her house from the Sunday mass, she saw a set of roses at her doorstep. Vivienne said, \u201cOh, aren\u2019t these the most exquisite roses!\u201d<\/p>\n
She called Miriam, her daughter to learn that if she left the flowers, but she didn\u2019t. Then she called her sons, Andrew and Blake, but they did not sent the flowers too\u00e7<\/p>\n
After a quick research, Miriam called her mother, and said, \u201cI\u2019m sorry, Mom. None of my kids did. But Gina said that she once saw a movie where an old man instructed a flower shop to send flowers to his wife after his death,\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDo you think your father did that?\u201d Vivienne asked.<\/p>\n
Miriam said, \u201cI don\u2019t know, but I remember that Dad always got you flowers from the same shop. It couldn\u2019t hurt to ask them,\u201d which led Vivienne to the flower shop where her husband used to pick flowers for her, but she learned that Albert had nothing to do with the flowers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, Mom. Maybe some kind stranger sent a random bouquet. Just enjoy them.\u201d Gina, her granddaughter said.<\/p>\n
After a week later, after the Sunday mass, Vivienne found flowers again, at her doorstep.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s weird, Miriam. What if it\u2019s a creep or one of those stalkers I\u2019ve read about?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cStop watching crime documentaries, Mom. It\u2019s none of that. Just enjoy the flowers,\u201d her daughter, Miriam said.
\nMiriam\u2019s oldest granddaughter said, \u201cOk, Grandma. I bought you this camera for your front door. It records who comes to your doorstep and such,\u201d and she installed the camera herself to observe the situation.<\/p>\n
On the next sunday, after the flowers again, they saw a stranger with flowers, who approached to Vivienne\u2019s doorstep, put them and left.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s weird, Grandma. It\u2019s a young man,\u201d Hanna said, after they watched the records.<\/p>\n
\u201cSee? It\u2019s weird. I told your mother this whole thing was odd, but she doesn\u2019t think it\u2019s a big deal,\u201d Vivienne said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think he might just be a delivery man. I don\u2019t think he\u2019s the one sending the flowers, although he\u2019s not wearing a uniform,\u201d Hanna said, and added, \u201cLet\u2019s wait to see if he comes around again.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the next Sunday, Vivienne decided to wait at her home, along with her grandchildren, Hanna and Jake.<\/p>\n
As they were watching the camera to see the man, the young man approached to the door, but Jake rushed, and caguht the young man. They started to interrogate him in Vivienne\u2019s house.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho are you, young man? Why have you been delivering flowers here every week?\u201d she asked to young man.<\/p>\n
\u201cMrs. Harrison, this is hard to explain. My name is Michael, and your husband was my grandfather,\u201d Michael answered.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat? Are you crazy, man? We know all our cousins. There\u2019s no way,\u201d Jake said, as he was angry.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know it\u2019s hard to take. From what I know, Grandpa Albert had an affair right before getting married. My grandmother didn\u2019t know she was pregnant until months later. Then she raised my mother alone. But I reached out to Grandpa a few years ago,\u201d Michael continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe formed a nice bond. He told me about your family and wanted to introduce me to you guys. But the timing was never right. The last time I spoke to him, he said that if he passed, he hoped I would buy you flowers, as his apology for not telling you the truth sooner.\u201d
\nHanna was shocked, she said, \u201cI can\u2019t believe this,\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are the spitting image of my late husband. Do you think I could meet your grandmother?\u201d Vivienne asked, as she wanted some more information from that woman.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry. My Grandma and Mom died in a car accident when I was 20. That\u2019s why I reached out to Grandpa. I didn\u2019t have any family left,\u201d Michael responded.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, my dear. I\u2019m sorry. In that case, I\u2019m glad that you got to meet Albert. He was a family man through and through. This might be a shock to the rest of the family, but they will want to meet you,\u201d Vivienne tried to comfort the young man.<\/p>\n
On that week, they had a BBQ party together, and everbody met with Michael, which at first, they were shocked when they learned that Albert had another grandson.<\/p>\n
Miriam asked to her mother, \u201cMom, how can you be so calm about this?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, honey. Life is so short. If I had discovered this incident years ago, maybe I would\u2019ve been mad. But now, I\u2019m just glad to have more people to love. Also, he followed your father\u2019s wishes to make me happy. That tells you the kind of man he is,\u201d Vivienne said.<\/p>\n
