The social media influencer and star posted a simple message on a Tuesday in April 2023. Her note to her Instagram followers was \u201cHappy Tuesday. 1,2,3,\u201d and this post has since become a memorial for Christina Ashten Gourkani since she passed away from cardiac arrest while under the knife at a plastic surgery clinic in California.<\/p>\n
The details of her death were outlined by her surviving family members on a GoFundMe account page.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the early morning hours at approximately 4:31 am on 4\/20\/2023, our family received a tragic phone call from a family member who was frantically screaming and crying hysterically on the other end of the line\u2026 Ashten is dying\u2026 Ashten is dying\u2026 A phone call that instantly shattered our world and will forever haunt our family for the rest of our lives. After arriving at the hospital shortly after the phone call, our family continued living a nightmare as we were informed that her health and wellbeing had continued to decline in a downward spiral for the worse after suffering from a cardiac arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now, the social media star\u2019s family is raising money on GoFundMe to cover the cost of the 34-year-old model\u2019s funeral. The family has also announced an investigation into the circumstances of Gourkani\u2019s death at the hands of the plastic surgery clinic.<\/p>\n
The family stated, \u201cHer sudden and tragic passing is currently being investigated as a homicide related to a medical procedure that took a turn for the worse. For the privacy of Christina Ashten, our family, and the investigation, no other details will be shared at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n
On GoFundMe, the family wrote: \u201cIt is with deep sorrow and an immensely heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani.\u201d<\/p>\n
