Julia Roberts prefers to keep her family life as private as she can, but in October last year she said in an interview that her marriage of over two decades with her husband was a “dream come true”

“It’s just never consumed me, being an actor. It is my dream come true, but it is not my only dream come true,” the actress gushed. “The life that I have built with my husband, the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly to them.”

When she is not working her “full-time job” she leads the life of that of a “homemaker,” which is a part of her life that brings her “a lot of joy.” The actress said when she is away from home working, she communicates with her children by writing them letters.

“It’s something Danny and I have always done,” she said, talking of writing letters ton her children. “The first letter that he ever wrote me, which was seven pages long, I still have it tucked away. One day, I’ll show it to Hazel and say, ‘That’s what you’re looking for.’”

Now Roberts is celebrating a major milestone in her life; her 21st wedding anniversary to her husband, Danny Moder. To mark the occasion, the actress posted a picture sharing a moment of PDA with her husband. She posted the image of their passionate kiss on her Instagram.

In the picture, the couple is engaged in what seems to be a very passionate kiss. In the caption, she writes simply “21,” before she added some emojis for fireworks and the hashtags “#truelove #heckyeah #fromhereonout.”

The couple have been married since July 4th, 2002 and share three children together. Their 18-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and their 16-year-old son, Henry. Danny Moder is also a part of the Hollywood fraternity and works as a cinematographer.

This is not the only time the notoriously private Roberts has gushed about her husband, in 2018 she shared with Gwyneth Paltrow on the GOOP podcast how Moder made her feel. She said, “I think that first kind of real ‘seismic shift’ was meeting Danny, getting married to Danny… that was the first ‘my life will never be the same’ in the most incredible, indescribable way.”

She went on to gush about how much she loves and appreciates her husband, saying, “He truly, to this day, to this minute is just my favorite human … I’m more interested in what he has to say or his point of view just (more) than anybody. Really, we’re so lucky in that way. We just really, really like each other and we just enjoy each other’s company,”

She went on to explain their love for one another. She said, “We’ve been married for 16 years, we’ve been together for 18 … It just gets deeper, it just gets more complex.”

She also added that marriage can be a gamble and you never know whether it will work till you are in it. She said, “… you’re young and you fall in love and go, ‘Yeah, we’re going to get married and we’re going to build a house and will have kids,’ and all these things that we all kind of dream of, but you don’t know if you’re going to like the same couch and you don’t know if he is going to want to get patterned towels.”
