Actress Julia Roberts has had a few romances with famous men throughout the years, but it wasn’t until she met her true love in 2002 that she found happiness. Her marriage to Daniel Moder, who is now her husband, has always been a difficult one. Before they arrived where they are now, the two actually experienced a significant amount of drama.

Moder and Vera Steimberg were already married when they first met in 2000 while working on the set of The Mexican. Although she insisted she wasn’t the reason Moder and Steimberg separated, there were rumors that the Runaway Bride star was to blame for the breakdown of his previous marriage.

Roberts had romantic relationships with actors Dylan McDermott, Matthew Perry, Jason Patric, and Liam Neeson before becoming married to Moder, with whom she had three children: twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, and a son named Henry. She had a brief engagement to actor Kiefer Sutherland, but they broke it off just days before their wedding. Roberts next wed country music star Lyle Lovett; their union lasted from 1993 to 1995. Roberts was rumored to have dated actor Benjamin Bratt when she first met Moder.

Today, 20 years after tying the knot, Roberts and Moder are as in love as day one.

Roberts is renowned for keeping her personal affairs quiet, but in 2018, she revealed details of her marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow in an interview for the GOOP podcast. The first “my life will never be the same” moment, in the most wonderful, incomprehensible way, she claimed, was when she first met Danny and got married to him.

“He truly, to this day, to this minute, is just my favorite human,” she continued. More than anyone else, I’m interested in what he has to say or his point of view. In that regard, we are quite fortunate. We really adore one another and delight in each other’s company.

She stated that marriage is a gamble and that their love for one another only becomes stronger with time. “You don’t know if you’re going to like the same couch and you don’t know if he is going to want to get patterned towels,” the author writes, “but you’re young and you fall in love and go, “Yeah, we’re going to get married and we’re going to build a house and will have kids,” and all these things that we kind of dream of.”

We are very fortunate that there is some kind of some explicable harmony to the way we do things, the actress remarked. “You just don’t know these things until you are right there doing it.” She said, “He’s the best decision I’ve ever made.”

In 2020, a couple insider remarked, “[Roberts and Moder] truly feel like soulmates. It’s critical that they get along. After all this time, Julia still thinks Danny to be quite attractive, and he still adores her. “The couple is ‘committed to staying together for the long haul, whatever it takes.’”
