A tragic house explosion in Defiance, Missouri, on Friday morning claimed the lives of brothers Julian, 4, and Jamison Keiser, 6. With schools closed due to extreme weather, the boys were home with family when the fire erupted. Their mother and grandparents escaped, but rescuers couldn’t reach the children in time,
Fire Chiesey said the intense flames made locating the boys impossible. Neighbor Sharon Oberlag remembered them as “the nicest little boys” who loved school.The home’s owner, the Hoffmann Family of Companies, expressed deep sorrow. A GoFundMe campaign, launched by local business owner Dan Tripp, has raised over $145,000 to help with funeral costs and rebuilding. Neighbor Laura Emerson placed a wreath at the site, saying, “They were happy. They were loved.”
